GURDWARA AND LANGAR: ALL WELCOME!

GURDWARA AND LANGAR: All Welcome!

April 12th 11:30-1:30

Sikhism is a spiritual path which uses group singing of the Gurus Language* to transform and guide. It is said in the Sikh Scriptures that in the Kal Yug, (the dark age that we are in) the way to accomplish anything is to sing the praise of the Name of God. When we sing in the company of devotees we fulfill ourselves as human beings and remove the doubt and pain of life.

Our teacher Yogi Bhajan taught us the importance of the technology of singing mantras; Shabad Kirtan to balance and uplift our lives. This Sunday April 12th, HARI NYC will be hosting a Sikh Gurdwara for all of us to experience this.

At these Gurdwaras, we sit in the presence of the most esteemed scriptures that contain the mantras and shabds that we use in Kundalini Yoga.

We will begin at 11am with a group recitation of Jaap Sahib. Kirtan will begin at 11:30am. And Langar, community free kitchen (lunch), will be served at the end around 1:30pm.

Please come and join us for all or part of this celebration, chanting and Langar.

We enthusiastically ask for SEVA for the event and it is traditional to offer a donation to the continuation of these offerings and our sacred time together.
