Beautiful as Butterflies is about the healing process of 4 abused women from poor areas in Cape Town through Kundalini yoga and the creative arts. Filmed on location in Cape Town and Namibia, it is accompanied by Snatam's lyrical music.

Jai Jagdeesh/Julia Landau is a writer, journalist, filmmaker, former Director and Founder of 2 award winning not for profits in Cape Town and Kundalini yoga teacher. Originally from London, she lives in Cape Town where her 3 children are born. Her BA from King's College, London is in English and her Masters from Howard University is in African Studies. She was awarded the Sunflower Award for her work with marginalized women. Her book Journey to Myself is the first book of creative writing by women in prison in South Africa and is currently sold at the District 6 Museum in Cape Town.
