Sadhana - Journey through 8 Chakras


 

Welcome to our virtual Sadhana space. We are starting our new set - Journey Through 8 Chakras, where we explore 8 Chakras (7 chakras +aura), as they are defined in kundalini yoga. Each journey lasts 30 days and we will have a total of 8 journeys totaling 240 days.

To make this time more valuable, we also pair our practice with learning the sacred texts of Japji. We will learn 2 pauries during each journey.

Study of chakras is essential in understanding who we are and how we operate. When we understand the chakras, we make them our friends and they will guide you through your life journey. The purpose of studying chakras is so: In every walk of life when a person moves and lives and does, he is aware of his seven assets.

Our first journey is the First Chakra and it will start on Wednesday, March 9th. The first chakra deals with our most basic human needs: food, water, shelter and survival. It implies the connection with the Earth and all material aspects of our existence. The balanced chakra manifests as a feeling of security, safety and trust.

5:00 - 5:12          Japji: Mul Mantra and Pauri 1

5:15 - 5:30          Warmup
5:30 - 6:00         Kriya - Apana Kriya (Elimination Exercises)
6:01 - 6:10          Savasana
6:12 - 6:35          Meditation for the first Chakra
6:35 - 6:57          Meditation to cleanse chakras
6:58 - 7:00          Silence/Close
